Last of the Pics

I forgot that I had a few more pics! This was our trip to the lion farm. One of the men from the church, Buta, had a passion for exotic animals. His "hobby" turned into over 1000 acres and hundreds of animals. His true love is his lions. He started with 2, that he raised in his house from cubs. He has bought several more and breeded several. He currently has 34 lions, 4 tigers, 1 hippo, 5 giraffes, 2 herds of springbok, 5 zebras, 8 cheetahs, several camels, llamas, water buffaloes, horses, and who knows what else!!!!

These are the 2 baby tigers- one regular, one white

This is his latest litter of lions. There are 9 females and a couple of males. They are about 9 months old.
This "pack" he raised from babies. Because he did, he was able to get the oddest combination of animals together. He raised 2 female lions, 1 male lion and 1 tiger to be a pack. In his training, Buta made sure he was always the dominant male. Because he is, he can go into the fields with the animals and they just come to him and let him do whatever he wants around them.

Rare black and white springbok.

Buta and Andre got off the 4 wheelers to "face" the cheetahs. According to Buta, as long as you are face to face with a cheetah you are safe. They attack from behind or the side. He stared down the other two and was finishing this one. As Buta confidently moved toward the cheetahs, they would back away and hide in the bushes. No one else was confident enough to get off the 4 wheelers!
