Chuck the Turd & Sissy

On Friday, Deena and I took Chloe to see a movie. She has waited forever and finally got to go. She was excitedly telling Deena about what she wanted to see and kept saying, Chuck the Turd. We were little confused at first. What sounded like "Chuck the Turd" turned out to be "Shrek the Third."

This weekend turned out to be full of excitement for Chloe. On Saturday, we went and picked up Chloe's "Surprise." For many months, Chloe has been talking about wanting a girl dog named Sissy. I've told her so many times not yet, we would wait until Logan was older. I think Logan was about 1 week when she started telling us Logan was older, could she now have a dog? A friend of ours got a Cockapoo a few years ago and we said when they bred her, we wanted a puppy. Well, the puppies just turned 8 weeks :) We have been to see the puppies several times so Chloe was familiar with them. Then on Saturday, we introduced her to a puppy named Sissy. "You mean there are two Sissys? This Sissy and my Sissy?" "No, there is just one Sissy. And she's all yours." This picture is the look on Chloe's face when she realized she was getting Sissy. And this is definately Chloe's dog!

She follows Chloe EVERYWHERE! The first night, Jeremy and I didn't get any sleep because Sissy cried all night. But as soon as Chloe was up, she was fine. Last night, Chloe fell asleep and we put Sissy in her bed. She started crying and I knew Jeremy couldn't do another night with no sleep. So, I put Sissy in Chloe's bed. No crying. She curled up next to Chloe and went right to sleep. When I got up at 5 with Logan, I took Sissy to the bathroom. When she was done, she wanted back with Chloe, where she stayed until they got up this morning at 7:30.

I know Chloe is only 4, but she has been doing a great job of helping with Sissy. If she sees Sissy looking for a place to use the bathroom, Chloe quickly takes her to her puppy pad. She keeps water in her bowl and helps with the dog food. Chloe keeps track of where Sissy is (she is so tiny that she easily gets lost!). And Chloe is learning to be GENTLE! Chloe tends to be on the loud, constantly moving side. Now she is learning to move quietly and calmly and just sit :)

Visit with Kendra and Haddie

Last weekend Chloe, Logan and I got the wonderful opportunity to see one of my favorite families! Kendra and Haddie were in OR with her parents while Brian was on deployment. The 6 1/2 hour drive only took me 9 hrs and 2 turn-arounds! I was amazed at how well Chloe and Logan rode for such a long time. Of course, we did have to make a few stops- Starbucks, food, Target, Starbucks....
Kendra is beautifully pregnant. She is nearing the 2nd trimester and most of her sickness is passing. When I was at the same stage, I was tired, cranky and VERY irritable. But Kendra, although she said she had been tired and cranky, was so patient and loveable. I have been so blessed to have this wonderful friend, whose friendship has lasted over the years, up and downs, good and not-so-good times, someone who will challenge me and hold me accountable and yet love me despite my flaws. I love you Kendra!!!
Haddie turned 2 and is absolutely adorable! She has the biggest blue eyes- I think they might account for 50% of her face :) Anything Chloe did, Haddie did. And anything Haddie did, Chloe did. She has a very sweet disposition, yet enough spunk to keep you on your toes. Chloe is already talking about having a tea party and sleepover with Haddie next summer when they are passing through this area.

Updates

Logan is 2 1/2 months old. At his dr appt on the 9th, he weighed 11 lbs, 7 oz and was 24" long. He's a pretty big guy, already wearing 3-6 month clothes and filling them out nicely. He is cooing like crazy and is still so laid back and happy. He has figured out how to hit the toys on his bouncer to start the music. He has started teething. The pediatrician said all babies drool like crazy starting at 2 months, but you can feel a tooth just under the skin on his bottom gum.
Chloe had a sleepover Friday night. Three 4 year olds! They were so much fun, though! They stayed up until 11pm- and got each other up at 7am!!! We still haven't decided on a preschool but will soon.
The other day, Chloe asked Logan if he loved her a lot. I told her he did, so she asked him, "Logan, then will you take my bath for me tonight?" She's getting too smart!

Happy Mother's Day!

Happy Mother's Day to all the moms!!!

My Mother's Day took a different route than what we had planned. I got some gorgeous flowers and Chloe, with Jeremy's help, made me a HUGE card! They snuck off to a friends house to make it and took my scapbooking tote with them. So my card had lots of little extras added to it. I don't know if Chloe did it subconsciously or if she just ran out of room. She drew a picture of our family but drew Logan on the other side, off by himself. Every once in a while the jealousy monster rears its ugly head.

We were scheduled at our north church this morning so my plan was to stop downtown at PF Changs for lunch and then get a pair of shoes I have been eyeing. Well... Friday I left my phone in the cart at Fred Meyer. So, Happy Mother's Day to me, now I have to get a new phone. I was a little sick to my stomach over that one. I have over 250 contacts in my phonebook. Not to mention my calendar and tons of other information! I live by my phone. So when I called TMobile, the only way to retrieve the information was to buy another Sidekick. So we after a quick trip to BurgerMaster we spent a good portion of our afternoon at the mall, getting a new phone. I guess now I need to do something really big for Jeremy for Father's Day :p

May Already!

It's so hard to believe that it is already May! Time has gone by so fast. This weekend we had our Women's Dessert & Breakfast. I wasn't going to do a table this year since Logan is so young. But at the last minute, I couldn't help myself. Deena and Maddy, my soon-to-be sister, were able to come to the breakfast, so that was fun.

Logan has started laughing, which is so stinkin' cute!!! We still have our evening entertainment with Chloe. She is definately a performer :) We are nearing the enrollment deadline for school and have only narrowed it down to 3 schools. Only 3 weeks to go.

In other news, my best friend Kendra is pregnant!!!!! I am so excited for them!!!! Haddie is about to turn 2 and she is just the most adorable little girl ever. I know this next one will be just as wonderful. Funny story here. I have been having crazy dreams about people being pregnant. So far, there have been 8 people in my dreams. Of the 8, 4 have recently found out they are pregnant. So you other 4, watch out!!!!
