Easter

Easter was a little unusual for us this year. We actually started on Saturday with an egg hunt at a friend's house. Logan found 1 egg and was so content with just that one. Then we headed to Bothell for the night. We had 3 services Sunday morning, with the first being at 8am. Since it's almost an hour drive from our house and we had to be there by 7:15, we stayed in a hotel for the night. It was Logan's first time in a hotel and he loved it! We couldn't get him away from the window. I think it was because the window was low enough for him to see out. Saturday night we gave the kids their Easter baskets. But Sunday early morning, they woke up to eggs hidden all over the hotel room (plastic ones!). Chloe was excited because the Easter Bunny found our room! We were out the door so early that we didn't get pics of the kids dressed up. But the last pic was Chloe later in the day. She and her BABW bunny had matching Easter dresses. They were so cute :)

Happy Anniversary, Gordon & Stella!!!!

Logan's 1 Year Check Up

I was entering the info in Logan's baby book and thought it was funny and wanted to share it.

Length: 29 1/4 in (30 percentile)
Weight: 19#1 (5 percentile)
Head Cir: 18 3/8 (90 percentile)!!!

His weight is pretty low but he eats nonstop. I just have kids with crazy metabolisms. Chloe was the same way.

Also, Logan is walking now!!! Every once in a while he will crawl if he can't walk there fast enough. He was so obedient. I didn't want him to start walking until Easter. He took a few steps here and there but now is walking everywhere. I just didn't realize Easter was 3 weeks early this year!!!!

Partners in Crime

This afternoon I had both kids down for a nap. Of course, Chloe never went to sleep, she just laid in bed and talked to the wall. When Logan woke up I let him play in his room, but eventually he made his way into Chloe's room. I knew it wouldn't be long before she was asking to get up also. So I waited for "Mom, can I get up now?" And I waited. And I waited. I waited 15 minutes before I knew it was time to see what was going on. There they were, on her bed eating all the chocolate eggs from Chloe's Easter basket. Chloe knows she will get in trouble if she gets out of bed without permission so she somehow got Logan to bring her basket over to her. Then she shared in the spoils. After tasting her chocolate, I'm sure he will do whatever she asks of him!

Happy Birthday, Matthew!

You can't tell from the picture but it was pretty big- 30-35 serving cake. This cake started out easy and then turned into a nightmare! The end result was great, but parts of the process made me want to cry. The entire tractor was made of cake and the wheels are rice crispy treats. On the way to Matthew's party the top fell off. Sammi & I were so stunned we didn't know what we were going to do with it. I couldn't just bring half a cake! We turned around and eventually just made a box for the top half. That's why the top (white) part looks a little funny. We made it to the party with 5 minutes to spare :) Later one of the kids wanted to "play" with it. Before dad could stop him, he tried making the tractor roll. When Dad got there, the kid was holding the wheels that he popped off and had a stunned look on his face. Oh, the joys of childhood. But Matthew loved his cake and his 3rd Birthday Party was perfect for him.
