Kids

This morning we woke to the sounds of Chloe puking. Mmmm. About 2 weeks ago, Logan and I had a stomach bug but we were the only ones that got it. I guess now Chloe has a mild version of it. After a few rounds in the bathroom, she asked why she couldn't stop throwing up. I tried to explain to her that it was just a bug. "I swallowed a beetle?" She was quite upset that she had unknowingly eaten a bug and now it was making her stomach icky. On a side note- one discovery that we have made is our children's preferences. Chloe is normally a Daddy's girl, except when she is sick and then she only wants me. Logan is Mommy's boy but only wants Jeremy when he doesn't feel well.

Logan is getting closer to crawling. He is starting to pull his legs up under him. But that seems to be too much work for him so he just rolls anywhere he wants to go. He is extremely laid back and in no hurry to crawl. His I teeth look like they may be the first to pop through. We've also begun baby signing with him. Right now we are just working on a few basics- please, thank you, hungry, finished, milk, bath, mom, dad. He trys "finished" or "all done."

Chloe and Logan have an amazing relationship. He lights up when she is around. All she has to do is look at him to get him laughing. She enjoys reading to him and showing how to play with toys. It makes my heart so happy to watch them. I want them to stay this way :)

Too Funny!

I had to write these down before I forgot them!!!

Yesterday afternoon, I found Chloe with her bedding and a backpack of clothes walking into the TV room. She converted the couch into her "bed." She decided that since we wouldn't let her have a TV in her bedroom, she was going to switch rooms to the one that had the TV! So, we let Chloe change rooms for one day. All she wanted to do was watch TV. Just confirmation that NOT letting her have a TV right now is the right choice :)

Chloe got a baggie of change from my Grandma while we were in Missouri. Jeremy asked her this morning what she wanted to buy with her change. She replied, "A computer."

She is way to smart for a 4 year old!

Trip to Missouri

We are back from a great time in Missouri! The first few pictures are with the grandparents: my Dad's parents, my Mom's parents and my great-grandma. I loved being back in the Missouri heat! I made sure we had plenty of sun-time. Even with SPF 50 Sunblock, both Logan and Chloe got great tans. Jeremy and I also got some great sun action, but I don't know how long I'll be able to keep it in our 70 degree Seattle weather. One night we had a BBQ/Birthday party. Chloe got to celebrate a 1/2 Birthday. And it was catered by Arthur Bryants- yummy!!!!! And Jeremy brought back a couple jars of their BBQ sauce. We also spent a good amount of time at Worlds of Fun & Oceans of Fun. Jeremy got TONS of Sonic!!! I think we had slushes every day :)
Chloe and Logan did so well on the plane rides. No fussing babies for us! Logan has moved to a new phase in his babbling. For a while he would make noises and blow raspberries- lots of raspberries. Now is making "ba ba ba" sounds. Also, instead of just wiggling until he gets where he wants to be he is beginning to inchworm his way around. He is starting to sit unassisted. Chloe wanted to swim like the big kids so one day at the waterpark she said, "Daddy, watch this." And she went under water and started swimming. Just like that. This was a big deal for her, because she hated to have her face underwater or not be able to touch. But by the time we left, she was a little fish.
Thank you for a wonderful vacation! We enjoyed our time in MO and being able to really relax. We love you all so very much and can't wait to see you again in October!!!! (Well, at least me and the kids, since Jeremy will be in Korea at that time)
