Visitors from MO

My mom and Grandma came out for Logan's birthday! It was Grandma's first visit so we were really excited to have her and show her around our "world"! We were so glad you both came out and look forward to your next visit!

Logan Turned 1!!!

It is so hard to believe that my baby is no longer a baby! Logan turned 1 on Feb 27th. I was excited and sad at the same time. He has grown so much and it really has gone by so fast. Now that he is one, I am OK with him wanting to walk. There are times when crawling is so much faster for him so he won't walk. But every once in a while he will walk around the room. He has 8 teeth right now and LOVES to eat. I am so thankful he is not as picky of an eater as Chloe! He likes almost everything. The only thing he won't eat is oatmeal. It blows my mind that he will eat 2 fillets of talapia but wont touch the oatmeal! He jabbers quite a bit and is starting to say a few words. He loves to sing with his sister and bark with the dog :) In the afternoons we dance around the house and Logan's favorite song to dance to is Can't Touch This! The weather has been pretty nice and we have spent lots of time at the parks around here. Logan is absolutely fearless! He loves the slide and goes down on his own- or with Chloe on the really big ones. He likes to climb and jump. The other day I caught him climbing down the backside of the couch! Chloe has a step stool and he has figured out how to push it around to cabinets and tables. Now the things that were "out of reach" are his! We are excited to move into the next phase! So many more milestones to come!

Chloe's Haircut

Chloe has been asking for a while to get her hair cut. So I finally gave in and we chopped it off. She loves it and looks more like a 5 year old.

Life is Great

Yep, life is great! I was saddened by a comment someone made the other day. She said she hated the life that had been dealt her. I was sad because she didn't understand that you make your life. Life doesn't make you. She had some terrible circumstances that occured throughout her life but yet she let those circumstances define who she is today. She chose not to take any responsibility for her actions or her life. But now she blames where she is on anyone else. She doesn't like the life she has but has no motivation to change it.

Life can be great- but you choose to make it great. I realize that things happen that are outside of our control. But how we respond to those circumstances is completely up to us. The quality of life is in our control. I love my husband and my kids. They are mine. I can't decide one day that I don't like them anymore and trade them in for new ones. Jeremy and I have made a commitment to each other to live a great life. We choose to love each other. We choose to be happy. We choose to have joy in all situations. We choose to love our kids. We choose the quality of life we have. The same is true for jobs, friendships, money, weight, etc.

A great life doesn't happen because of favorable circumstances all the time. A great life isn't about getting everything you ever wanted. A great life is the result of a disciplined lifestyle and the choices you make.

I get tired of hearing people complain about their life. They don't have any friends, yet make no effort to gain friends. They never have enough money, but have no motivation to be disciplined in spending or make more money. They hate their job but make no effort to find a new job. They hate being overweight yet still eat an entire cheesecake in one sitting.

Have a great life- by choice. Choose to happy. Choose to make changes. Choose a great life!
