Too Funny!

I had to write these down before I forgot them!!!

Yesterday afternoon, I found Chloe with her bedding and a backpack of clothes walking into the TV room. She converted the couch into her "bed." She decided that since we wouldn't let her have a TV in her bedroom, she was going to switch rooms to the one that had the TV! So, we let Chloe change rooms for one day. All she wanted to do was watch TV. Just confirmation that NOT letting her have a TV right now is the right choice :)

Chloe got a baggie of change from my Grandma while we were in Missouri. Jeremy asked her this morning what she wanted to buy with her change. She replied, "A computer."

She is way to smart for a 4 year old!

Trip to Missouri

We are back from a great time in Missouri! The first few pictures are with the grandparents: my Dad's parents, my Mom's parents and my great-grandma. I loved being back in the Missouri heat! I made sure we had plenty of sun-time. Even with SPF 50 Sunblock, both Logan and Chloe got great tans. Jeremy and I also got some great sun action, but I don't know how long I'll be able to keep it in our 70 degree Seattle weather. One night we had a BBQ/Birthday party. Chloe got to celebrate a 1/2 Birthday. And it was catered by Arthur Bryants- yummy!!!!! And Jeremy brought back a couple jars of their BBQ sauce. We also spent a good amount of time at Worlds of Fun & Oceans of Fun. Jeremy got TONS of Sonic!!! I think we had slushes every day :)
Chloe and Logan did so well on the plane rides. No fussing babies for us! Logan has moved to a new phase in his babbling. For a while he would make noises and blow raspberries- lots of raspberries. Now is making "ba ba ba" sounds. Also, instead of just wiggling until he gets where he wants to be he is beginning to inchworm his way around. He is starting to sit unassisted. Chloe wanted to swim like the big kids so one day at the waterpark she said, "Daddy, watch this." And she went under water and started swimming. Just like that. This was a big deal for her, because she hated to have her face underwater or not be able to touch. But by the time we left, she was a little fish.
Thank you for a wonderful vacation! We enjoyed our time in MO and being able to really relax. We love you all so very much and can't wait to see you again in October!!!! (Well, at least me and the kids, since Jeremy will be in Korea at that time)

Update

Things have been going full speed around our house! We just finished our youth conference and it was amazing!!!! The hunger and desire for the things of God in our teens and young adults is indescribable. After one of the evening services, the presence of God was so thick that all you could do was lay there and weep. So many weeped with joy and with heartache. Issues and walls built over time just crumbled in their lives. I get teary eyed just thinking about how awesome our God truly is. Jeremy taught one of the morning sessions, which was so good it just blew your mind! My wifely loyalty only requires that I tell Jeremy his teaching was fine. But this message was INCREDIBLE!!! I can't wait to get the CDs! Over the past few years Jeremy has really become an amazing communicator. I love listening to him, not just as my husband but as a teacher and preacher of the Word. I don't think I've ever spaced out or fallen asleep while listening to him :) There is such a depth to his messages without being heavy. And of course his stories are so relevant and entertaining :)
Logan turns 5 months this Friday. He went in for shots last week- the boy is huge! He is in the 55% for weight and 95% for height!!!!! I'm guessing that my Grandpa Lear's genes kicked in on Logan. I know he didn't get the height from me, in all my 5'1" glory. He really enjoys his rice cereal and now that our schedule has slowed some, we are starting him on some baby food. I really thought I might get a longer "baby" period with him, but I don't think so anymore. For the longest time, he showed no interest in becoming mobile, perfectly content to just lay in one place and stare at you. Chloe was toddling around at 8 1/2 months, so I was praying Logan would wait until he was one. But, he's already scooting and trying to figure out crawling. One day he finally figured out how to roll and for 2 weeks rolled all over the house. Now he's no longer content to just roll places so he's trying to get onto all four. Looks like I might have another early walker. It's cute, exciting and sad all at the same time. I'm excited to watch him learn and sad because he won't really be a baby much longer.
Chloe keeps us smiling. She has such an opinion!!! She still prefers to wear dresses ALL THE TIME! She just got a new pair of rain boots that she is so in love with. Her usual attire right now is a sundress, ponytail, sweater and rainboots. She got so excited about them that she wore them to bed the first night. Last night after she was put to bed, I could hear her up moving around. I went to the door to see what was going on and I found her rocking a doll, praying. She prayed for EVERYONE she could think of, all of her dolls, she asked God to bless Mommy and Daddy because they have been good and deserve it, she prayed for healing for anyone she knew of that ever had an injury of any sort, she prayed that the airplane to Missouri would have happy people that would talk to her. She prayed at least for 10 minutes. At this point, my heart was about to burst and I had happy tears running down my face. And then she ended with, "Thank you, God, for giving me so many toys to play with. I am grateful and happy. I know some kids don't have this many. But, if I give them my old ones, will you bless me with even more toys?"

She definately has personality!
Now if she could just find her fashion sense!
Nothing like an apron over your dress with
houseshoes for a glamorous photo!!!

Logan already likes talking on the phone!!

Yes, he is already eating rice cereal! He lunges at people's food,
so we thought we would see how he does. HE LOVES IT!
We can't get it into his mouth fast enough.
